Medication Renewal Service
Medication renewal is available online here for patients registered at the Bradford and Aurora medical offices of Dr. John Fitzsimons and have seen Dr. Fitzsimons within the last 12 months. You may use this service if you have an appointment in the near future, but will not have enough medication to last till then or need a prescription renewal for a treatment of a preexisting condition. For example; cholesterol, diabetic or asthma medications. This service is not a replacement for an in office visit, if your condition is unstable or there is a doubt in the medication you require.
Please note: This service is not an online pharmacy but an online access point for patients that need fast response to their medication needs.
The following criterion must be met to use this service;
- You must have been in to see Dr. Fitzsimons within the last 12 months.
- You are requesting a medication which is not a controlled substance.
- You agree to attend in person for medical visits on a regular basis.
- You cannot re-order controlled substances - such as pain medication, hypnotics or antidepressants.
- You are not asking medical questions - an in office consultation is necessary.
Why are we providing this service? We know your medical history and this service will reduce the need for in office visits, which will free up time and availability at our clinics for other visits such as annual checkups, diabetic checks and assessments of acute illnesses. This service is not covered by OHIP at the present time. The cost for using this service is;
$15 for renewals up to 3 medications if done online.
$25 for over the phone service --- Call (905)-775-5327
We accept Visa, MasterCard, or American Express and payment can be made online, or by faxing your credit card payment information. Please note: if your medication request is made but not approved, no refund is available. We anticipate a response within 2 business days.
When completing the online form, you must supply the name(s) of the medications you require, the dosage required and (when possible) the prescription number of your most recent treatment. Please include all current medications being taken. This will assist us in ensuring safety in the provisioning of renewals. You will also be required to provide the name and fax number of your pharmacy. To make things very easy, the online form will guide you to complete this information.
A renewal will be provided in keeping with the anticipated monitoring time for your medical condition. Please also note, this is not a medical information website. We plan to expand the site to provide you with your appointment times for specialists and test results inquiries

NEW SERVICE FOR ERECTILE DIFFICULTY TREATMENT
A lot of male patients are sensitive about discussing erectile problems, such as premature ejaculation, delayed
ejaculation or difficulty in maintaining an erection.
At the Aurora clinic you may book an oline appointment assessment and when you need a renewal of medication
such as viagra, cialis or levitra you simply email a renewal request to the office and on payment of an administration fee
of $15 the prescription may be issued. Annually an in office visit is required to update medical health status for this renewal
service to be made available.
If interested in participating simply book your first appointment consulation to discuss erectile difficulties.
All costs are covered by OHIP for this visit. Your comments on this new service is welcome.
We are finding a lot of male patients are shy about this discussing this personal matter with their own physician
and often do not seek treatment early, precipitating a lot of problems in the area of performance anxiety as well
as depression and marital difficulties.
